Upper lot was full at 8:30. There was an unexpectedly strong wind that was a bit chilly. It died down as the day went on, and it ultimately became borderline warm at the finish.

Group of 10 Sierra Club hikers on the same route today. We chatted for a few minutes. Otherwise just an occasional hiker or two along the way.

Peralta looked like a pooeyshow and the wave cave was worse. Sheriff or FS should go out and ticket the vehicles that randomly park all over the desert.

Good to meet whirlybird and get a few good miles in on a pretty nice weather day.
