| no partners | | Took the day off canyoneering. I did a quick hike while Scott waited for me. I didn’t know anything about the trail except it was supposed to be a short hike. On the way up I encountered a couple who were surprised to hear I was hiking by myself and that someone was going to wait for me (later I learned from them that their guide book said it was a 4-5 hr hike).
I continued along and headed up to the top. The final section of the hike had a couple scrambles - not something I’d normally do by myself but I wasn’t turning around. I made it to the top of the peak and enjoyed the views of Death Valley. This is definitely a peak to do as you can see a lot of the Park and you can also see the peak from the other mountain ranges.
On the way down I ran the easier sections so Scott only had to wait two hours. |
