| no partners | | | A little Springtime day trip to check on wildfowers and some new roads. I headed west along AZ 86 and on to the Tohono O'odham Nation past Sells to near Quijotoa, where I turned north on Indian Route 15. This was a fun drive up to where it finally intersects I-8 just West of Casa Grande. This gave me a chance to have a look at the Sawtooth Mountains from the west side for a change. Next I drove down Sunland Gin Road (as I have many times), but also checked out other possible entry points for this mountain range, other than the normal Harmon Road approach. Nothing panned out, so I headed down back to Red Rock via a series of roads from off Sunland Gin (again, as I have many times). Quite the fascinating region back in there southwest and west of Picacho Peak. |
