| no partners | | I hadn't been in this area for several years, but it sure was nice checking everything out once again. On this trip we came in off Mineral Mountain rd from US 60. Back in the day we used to come in off of 79 and I think I prefer this route better. Once on BLM land they have done a nice job of signing some of the routes, none of that was there last time I was out. The route we did included what is known as lower ajax.
If you stuck to the "road" it could be done with high clearance and 4wd would be nice, but it far from maintained. I was happy to see that the mine ruins have been holding up and seem to be exactly as I remembered them. Also, for a Saturday with near perfect weather, the trails were pretty empty for the most part. |
