Bridge is out, I bet it's been out for a long time huh? There is a burro path to go around the Waters edge to the other half of the trail but we had the dog with us and his long fur would've been full of burrs.
We did the 3 miles let dog take a break in the car and drove around to the other trailhead to complete the trail
Did let Chase doggo swim on the other side, he absolutely loved it.
Saw two wild burros, the light grey male was aggressive and walked right in front of my car nosed then head butted the hood then made his way to the passenger side window where Jamie had his camera out for a photo.
The burro stuck his head right in and I had to back the car up in a hurry because burro did NOT light doggo. Sheesh!
I imagine tourists feed the burros which leads to this bold behavior
Beautiful day. Perfect weather. Trail in good condition. Lots of burro poop for traction.
This is hike #3 for 100 miles in 100 days challenge. Taking the dog along cuts our mileage down a lot but he's working up to longer trips.
