| no partners | | A little overnight splash of rain washed away my plan to hike the Pine Mountain Loop in Marin because it would've included a 4-mile stretch of pure mud so I settled on Nimitz Way because it's largely paved. Some muddy stretches, but nothing crazy.
The day started out cloudy with misting going on across Wildcat Canyon, but ended up being gorgeous. I hiked for a bit with a nice couple I met on Wildcat Peak. Paved Nimitz Way all the way past the Nike missile site to Mezue Trail which I took down to Wildcat Creek Trail. Unfortunately I started immediately coming back uphill on the Havey Canyon Trail which had a few stretches of mud. Nothing too crazy, but definitely some hairy stretches. Then I went up to the actual Nike missile site because I had to hit that high point. Returned on the Nimitz Trail with its usual ridiculous afternoon views. |
