| no partners | | This was the best hike I've done in Big Sur. Extremely freaking fantastic. Basically it was a steady ascent away from the coast on a trail that's seemingly suspended in air above the wild coast. With wildflowers. Then it was on to the portion of the hike that traveled high above the impressively deep Hare Canyon before running out of gas and time in the redwoods around Vicente Camp. Vicente Camp looked like it was in for a busy night.
I'd love to do this one again, and I'm feeling quite emboldened about exploring the area further after pulling off the drive. It sucks to drive 3 hours each way for a hike, but if it's worth it it's worth it. |
