|The western half of the old safford-morenci trail is in rough shape. A few landslides have occurred in some rather important bits of trail.|
Johnny Creek is a wonderful gem. I also enjoyed the narrows of midnight canyon. Bonita creek was nice, though the bogs as you approach the Red Knolls are a necessary evil. Old Lady Gay cabin was an interesting little side trip.
The coatis seems to be the main characters of the canyon. I have a feeling they are responsible for most of the rockfall I heard.
The weather was perfect for this, and thanks to previous HAZers for sharing their triplogs and routes.
