I thought this would be the perfect height to get out of town clear my head and get some solitude. Well it cleared my head and that helped substantially but there was definitely not solitude. I saw five other small groups of hikers. We all keep our appropriate distance but I don’t recall ever seeing that many people at Quartz Peak.
