| no partners | | This ends up being the last of the major off trail Estrella Summits I have done. Can't say I'd do it again. Estrella and both Montezuma Peaks were fun, this not so much. It's a nasty, rough, rocky, very thorny ridge with not much different that what is on Quartz. Something new, but I'd rather hike Montezuma Peak again.
Actually, I did enjoy my time on the summit, and on Quartz, and it was fairly quiet out here, save for a lot of airplane traffic. However, I learned that I do not have any interest in the ridge line, at all, and probably won't return this spring to explore that area at 3000' south of Montezuma Peak. |
