Last minute plan, headed up to Crown King because we didn't want to go far on 17 because everybody would be going up 17 today. Found a trail on the FS map that I wasn't really sure still exists. On Senator Highway, there was a trail sign, but only pointing back down towards Crown King. The parking area was not where the map said the trail started. Headed down a short Jeep road that took us to a spot supposedly along Trail 213. Originally wanted to go down 9238, but the lack of a trailhead cast some doubt on whether it actually exists.

213 was actually in pretty good shape, besides some overgrowth, only a little bit of which was mean. A couple stretches of Pine Creek even had a trickle of water, which was a big surprise.

Hit Minnehaha Flat, and found the cabin (map has it labeled as Shelley Place). Cool little area there. It got better as we headed down Minnehaha Creek. There was actually good flow in the creek starting near the cabin. Might be perennial. Really didn't think our day would include a flowing creek! I don't think we went all the way to the place labeled "Minnehaha Waters" on the map; it wasn't too clear. But I definitely think it might be worth exploring further downstream (might not start as far away as Senator Hwy next time).

Back up at the top, I decided to continue on where 213 allegedly continued. No trail up to the ridge anymore, but found a fire ring and old road bed. No signs anywhere, but it did appear as if 9238 might actually exist.

Most of Pine Creek is dry. But there were 2-3 stretches with light flow.
