Made a loop. Lost Dutchmans to Coffee Flat then Whiskey Spring then off to find Herman. 10+ miles first day and found him. Pretty far on the mountain, so we dropped packs and off the sketchy scree with no trail whatsoever. But we made it. And we did not die. Went a bit further and found a place to set tent.
In tent by 6pm and up at 7am. Off we went. Red Tanks and another then stopped by La Barge Spring. I was there about 3 year ago... And saddest thing ever. No green no nothing for miles. Looked a million % different. 😔 Then back to Lost Dutch and finally on Peralta TH. Lots of Hoo Doos there. Almost 18 miles alone with my love.
Life is awesome.
