| no partners | | Took a trip a much needed trip to San Diego. I even met my cousin there, who I didn't know was there. She was staying about a mile from my hotel. Anyway, I learn what brittle stars were looking in the tide pool. I've never saw one before and found 4 in a short amount of time, learned what grunions were (https://www.californiabeaches.com/grunion-run-schedule/), and forgot how fun it is to swim in the ocean. I swam with a seal for a short while until I thought this was a bed idea, as seals attract sharks.
Everything is more expensive in CA, but most people seemed happier and were in better shape. I think it's because of the beach and hills people have to walk up. Plus, it's harder to drive there, so people walked more than here. Last time that I was in San Diego was March 2015. |
