Headed up to Lake 2 on Wednesday morning. Nice and gradual incline at the beginning. Set up camp at a great spot overlooking the lake and Temple Crag. Killer views but zero shade over my tent so I jetted up the trail. Felt good so I kept going up and eventually reached a good spot overlooking Palisade Glacier. A little sketchy in some spots along the boulder field - zero issues on a more direct route down.

Woke up early enough for pictures during the sunrise. Cruised back to the car in a couple hours and drove up to Bishop for carbs.

Such a great area. Temple Crag alone is worth hiking in.
