| no partners | | Had a 20h layover in Puerto Vallarta, a city not particularly high on my to-do list, but round-trip flights from Phoenix were relatively affordable. While it is a major tourist stop, the city itself is beautiful, nestled right between the mountains and the beach.
After dinner, I raced against the sunset in hopes of getting some good shots from the hilltop. The road up is seriously steep, followed by a series of concrete steps. Luckily, I made it just in time and had 15 minutes of daylight left. A little crowded on the third floor of the observation platform, but the second floor had plenty of space to move around.
While this isn't exactly a "hike," it's really the only walk during my trip that had elevation gain, if you don't count parking structures. |
