Finally got around to this one and it did not disappoint. The 30% chance of rain made for a classic desert day with puffy clouds and shade. It sprinkled briefly on the drive in but that was all.

The road is much better than I anticipated - lots of dips and a little sand. I kept waiting for it to worsen and it never did. IMO, the road to Quartz is worse.

The trail was pretty good but it’s becoming a little overgrown in spots, mostly palo verde branches and rogue ocotillo stalks. I loved the Sonoran scenery with Table looming overhead the whole time. It’s like AZ’s miniature Kilimanjaro. Views up top were great in all directions. Visibility was just okay as I couldn’t make out the White Tanks to the north. The Catalinas seemed shrouded as well.
Super happy about this one. What a great day!
