| no partners | | Katie and I made another trip to the Blue last weekend. Our only real plan was to escape the heat and get out of the valley. We did more dog walking and relaxing than hiking, but we did manage to knock out a few miles of trail here and there.
We hiked both of these trails over Saturday and Sunday and were pleased to have found both trails cleared. In fact, we ran into a few trail crews on both days. The crews talked of several trails they were looking to clear in the area and seemed motivated. I made sure to let them know their work was not going unnoticed and chatted with each crew a little. Mainly dropping wish lists for trails I would like cleared and all that good stuff, lol. There was more flow in both forks of KP Creek than a few weeks ago when I was there and the forest may have got greener and the flowers more abundant. The raspberries were plentiful and farm quality. We hiked to the falls on Saturday and then in from the freshly cleared South Fork on Sunday. |
