Got a nice early start here. The guide mentions two trailheads, we parked at the ones next to the outhouses, and walked up the dirt road 0.7 miles to the original trailhead. Road was fine, there is no reason why a car can't go to the original trailhead with no issues.

Lost of people camping next to the road we walked up to the original trailhead, we were concerned we may run into a lot of folks on the hike back, turned out they folks must not be here for the hike, we had the trail to ourselves the whole time except for a bow hunter at the very beginning, and he took a fork off the main route almost immediately after the real hike began.

Views in the first part of the hike are exceptional. middle part of the hike is fine, and near the end when on on Woodchute Mountain, their is a fork in the path at (N34.75487° W112.16288°) this leads to a nice overlook. Back on the main trail, we as you continue the decent down the other side of the mountain the trail becomes less distinct. There are suppose to be some great views a bit further. At about 4.8 miles into the hike wife was not enjoying going downhill knowing she would have to go back up and was not convinced that the views would justify the hike. I sent her back and made for a rock out-crop just off the trail on the ridge (N34.76282° W112.16805°). Glad I did, best views of the hike. I took photos and headed back to catch up with the wife.

Although its to early for a bloom, the rains have really helped the flowers, and we saw and photographed 28 different types of flowers (See images).

This hike is a gem. Elevation gain is reasonable, hike is reasonable at about 9 miles, the hike doesn't seem to be visited much, but most of the trail is easy to follow and the view are spectacular in a number of places.
