After spending two nights in Borrego Springs, it was time to head back to Arizona. I wanted to pay a visit to Bombay Beach, where I hadn't been in about 5 years. Since my last time there artists have been buying abandoned property and moving in at least part time in an attempt to breath new life into this town on the east side of Salton Sea. In 2015 they got together and started the Bombay Beach Biennale, the first festival of which took place in Spring 2016. I wanted to check out some of the outdoor art installations. This place has always been trippy, now it is just more so! The only disappointment was the Ski Inn bar wasn't open the day of my visit. :( I have only been in there once, back in 2012, so long overdue for a stop. :lol:

From Bombay Beach, it was south on CA 111 to I-8, then eastbound through Yuma and on home.
