RTM was string trimmed from the unmarked Swift Trail TH where it ascends toward the intersection with Noon Creek Ridge Trail through to pools/creek crossing of Noon Creek. Further brush trimming and some light tread re-benching was performed from the Noon Creek crossing.
There are some sections of trail that still need brush cleared back a bit that volunteers did not get to the weekend of March 26th and 27th. This is the middle 1/2 mile of trail between Noon Creek Ridge and Connector. That said compared to most trails in this area it is in great shape. The string trimming alone makes the corridor feel more welcoming.
SDMB a multi use, trail advocacy organization, from Tucson, has a volunteer maintenance agreement in place with the USFS Safford district to work on trails needing deferred maintenance in Pinalenos. In addition to RTM and Noon Creek, volunteers are working on Ladybug, Shake and Arcadia Trail. There is also work being done by the Fort Grant Prison Crew to restore post 2017 Frye Fire impacted trails including Grant Goudy, Heliograph, Arcadia and RTM.
