| partners | | On our second day of hiking in the Pinaleno Mountains we went up to Frye Mesa. Before starting our hike up Frye Canyon we stopped off at Fry Mesa Reservoir. The last time I was here I didn’t have time to check this area out. This is a fascinating area, with a dam, waterfall where the water exits over the spill way and a slot canyon above the reservoir with another waterfall. The slot canyon would be interesting to explore but would require climbing equipment. I will have to be content with photos I’ve seen by others who do that sort of thing. This isn't really much of a hike, maybe I'll call it a warm-up. Worth the stop though
