I ended up driving to Patagonia to stop at the Wagon Wheel Saloon for a beer (yeah, I needed to grab a cold bottle of beer to warm my hands up 
), before heading back the way I came. On the way back I drove in on Empire Ranch Road a short distance for some very nice views across the grasslands to the Whetstone, Empire, and Huachuca Mountains. A mix of light rain, snow, and sleet began there and incresed in intensity (never very much though) as I drove north on Hwy 83, finally ending bofore I reached Sahuarita Road. The snow had mostly melted in the lower elevations by the time I drove through, but it was nice to see nevertheless.
