I hiked Flatiron with Linda. I didn't bring my camera because I'm in therapy right now and learned how to love myself without the need to post wildlife photos to validate my self-worth. But then we spotted a coyote staring at us, I instantly regretted bringing my camera and afterwards fired my therapist.

The trail wasn't crowded. This was my second time up Flatiron. It was harder than I remembered.

The thing that I noticed is that people are friendly on Flatiron because they are scared of the steep incline, difficult route, and technical climbing portions. Fear unites people. You're not going to be nasty to someone if you think you'll need their help later. This is why Americans are nasty to each other. We don't have a common enemy to fear and are self-reliant.

Anyway, it was a good hike. We both got the, "You must cold..." comment as we both wore shorts.

I've never seen hikers shred their clothes and leave them along the trail until recently. I hope it's not a new trend.
