| no partners | | A VERY SPECIAL HIKE FOR ME ON A VERY SPECIAL DAY!!
The plan was to spend this Christmas week camping under Byous Butte with six planned days of hiking the area and relaxing with friends.. but Mother Nature won out due to her Christmas week weather forecast so we just rescheduled it for next week- New Years Week.
Prior to New Years week I wanted to check out the road conditions on FR172, so today- Christmas Eve we did that and also managed to work in a short hike (in my opinion, the best short hike northeast of Florence Junction) up to the 1st saddle on Byous Butte. I dearly love this area and for the first time today I was able to capture some pics to post on HAZ of this most scenic and diverse area with my new digital camera, my second time out with it! I got a little carried-away with posting 40 pics, but I do hope that Joe will excuse me this time as I am still like a kid in a candy store with playing, learning, and using.. Another fun and amAZing Day  |
