Snakes are finally coming out! It rained a bit yesterday to get some movement. I am not finding the # of snakes that I'm used to seeing but am seeing a lot of leopard lizards this year. 5 leopard lizards in one year is a lot of me, considered that I've only seen one in AZ since I moved here in '95.

When I was photographing the leopard lizard, who appeared gravid, I think I was next to a homeless camp. I heard something rustling in the bushes next to me, which cut her photo session short.

Also, it's nice to see the gnats again. It's not springtime in AZ without them.
