Another day and near perfect temps for critters to be out. Lots of rodents out. I even caught one by hand. Lots of scorpions, of which two were eating insects. I saw a resting coachwhip. My alarm went off when I was photographing it, which woke up a homeless guy camping nearby as I heard him in the distance saying something afterwards. I usually wake up @ 3am but today I got up @ 1am.

I found a coiled dback in the wash. I chased a small rodent toward the snake. You can see what happened in the photo. I did not get a good photo of it eating the rodent because I did not want to disturb it by getting too close and did not bring my zoom lens.

I later found a coiled night snake. I never saw a night snake coiled out in the open. After that, I did not see anything else.
