This weekend did some hiking in the Rainbow Forest Wilderness in the Session III area(Petrified Forest National Park). Lots of sites but I focused on a few petroglyph sites. Site 501, 509, 505, 506 and 275.

The area I hiked in was flat and at times looked like a moonscape. It was still very beautiful. Especially in the areas where there was alot of petrified wood flakes.

I think I have to go back again because site 275 was suppose to be a large site with a ruin and 35 panels. I know I didn’t find the ruin and I am sure I missed some of the panels.
