Took the Salsa Cutthroat gravel bike out today. Jumped on Maricopa trail FINS to Dogbone segment, crossed Rainbow Valley Road, and then split off on some 2 track along the farms and reconnected with Rainbow Valley. Took Rainbow Valley south to Komatke road just north of Sonoran Desert National Monument. Backtracked north on Rainbow Valley to Germann road and worked my way up to GNODS trails. Took Fenceline up to almost the Iron Ranger and then northwest on a sandy jeep road to Estrella Foothills High School. Back on Maricopa trail from the high school over to FINS and then home. Didn't see any bikers/hiker, go figure. Light traffic on Rainbow Valley road. Killer headwind at times. Killer tailwind at times. Tailwind is much better.
