Decided to do this hike from the Rim Road also. Forest Road 76 is closed currently, so this area is very peaceful without any vehicular traffic or car campers. On the previous day's hike, I also noticed some idiots had dumped their trash in the forest near FR300, so I cleaned it up after repeating the point. The very nice lady at the Woods Canyon Dump Station allowed me to discard the trash hauled out in their dumpster without paying. What an angel!
