Hike a bike death march ride on Lost Creek trails in Verrado this morning. Almost 2 hours and not even 8 miles. Started on Tecate and did a counter clockwise loop using Justins Trail, Cholla, Overhead Pass, Dead Head Pass Loop, High Line, Upper Ridge, Verrado Petroglyph, Widow Maker, Pedro Ridge, Down Periscope, and back on SOB. Trails are relatively straight and would be good for hiking, especially while not pushing your bike. Feels remote, like you could be eaten by a mountain lion, or by the giant horse flies that kept attacking me.
