Then down the other side to Toothaker and started the grind up the steep rocky gravely trail. Never thought I'd make that saddle to the every pleasing descent past Pedersen to Gadsden. Except for a couple of deep sandy wash crossings on Gadsden, the rest of the loop is pleasant enough. Saw one jogger on Rainbow Valley and a mountain biker coming down Flycatcher who I followed a bit until he turned off on Desert Rose.
