Just couldn’t do another neighborhood walk this morning as I’ve done it 100’s of times. Had to pick a destination that has good footing and not much AEG as I can’t use my poles when Jake’s with me.

From the back of the Browns Ranch TH parking lotI went West on the Latigo Trail. Within a few minutes Jake got a cholla ball stuck on his front paw and immediately used his mouth to try and get it off. Not good! I carry tweezers and he’s real good letting me handle his feet and mouth. Was able to get all but a few that were in the top of his mouth. He was not acting bothered by them so we went on.

Saw no other hikers and about 6 groups of mountain bikers.

Nice to get out on a beautiful day!
