I made the long drive and had some additional energy and needed something short & easy to pair that with and this was a great choice because by the time I got here and started this hike it was already 5:20 pm and I wanted to finish before dark, which I just did without a minute to spare. My round trip distance was under 3 miles and 99% of the hike was good dirt road. The only "open country" portion of this hike was a bit of my exploration at the top. I didn't see a registry up there but I did see an old metal cylinder sticking out of the ground where it looked like a US survey marker did exist once but wasn't there as of today.
There were plenty of radio and satellite towers on the top of the mountain. The towers were on private property, but all of that was fenced in. The allow people to walk the road which is nice. It was a nice summit and I could see the other high Bisbee peaks by looking across the highway and a little further East.
This hike could be made a lot easier by driving all the way up the road to the top, but then it wouldn't be a hike, would it? ;-).
