This one has been on my list for quite some time. It made for a great detour and overnight stop between Albuquerque and Phoenix. We checked into our bungalow just down the road and headed the 6 miles to get here.

We had the place to ourselves. Although I had never seen this area before the flood, there were remnants of the prior build. The rebuild is quite substantial and should stand the test of time.

It's a very easy walk in a pretty area. Deb stopped at the current official end, while I carried on until it got way too sketchy for me.

Well worth the stop and a nice destination.
