| no partners | | I decided to ride my Harley motorcycle up to the Sunset trailhead. There was only a little light rain in the foothills area along the way, which was refreshing. Ana drove her car and met me up there. I gave Ana a tour of a few not well-known trails and Syke Knob was a nice warm-up hike. It was a place I have never hiked to before.
We took our time and enjoyed the entire area. We saw pine trees, fir trees, oak and maple also. There were some campers along the road in dispersed camp sites. The road was very good and 4x4 is not needed. But, I don't think I would want to camp in this area simply because of the road noise not far away (Catalina Hwy).
