| no partners | | | I hiked all the little trails around the lodge. Some a couple times. Really like the layout of this lodge! They even have a cool treehouse(not really in the tree) at the high point of one of the trails. Clouds kept me from seeing Mt. Denali but still some nice views and the treehouse is pretty cool. So green up here! Saw a black fox(?) crossing one of the lodge driveways coming down from the treehouse. They had a guest speaker at the little theater this evening. He had climbed Denali a few times and he talked about how equipment has changed over the years. one of his highlights was climbing it with his daughter. Very interesting talk and cool guy. Afterwards I talked to him for a few and he also climbed the face of Half Dome which was interesting as well. Good times! |
