I started a little late at 5:16am. Hiked from the C&D parking lot. I made good time (for me) and only saw 2 people on the way up. On the way down I wondered how far I’d get with shade as the sunlight washed across the desert. Made it to right at 4 miles before the sun hit me. The trails were not crowded at all.
Really nice morning out. Some of the Ironwood trees were putting on a show with some impressive color. Some birds seemed to be singing to me while others seemed to be laughing at me.

Reminded me of some of my ol friends while hiking the AZT!

It was a pretty enjoyable outing!!
