| no partners | | This time I drove further and parked across from Walnut Spring. This route worked out nicely both ways. The down route had no in and out of drainages and I was riding the ridge. 39 degrees at the start and 53 at the finish. I'm pretty sure I was off private property according to my map but there was one point that I saw no trespassing sprayed on a rock wall. Right about my turn area I found a large rock pile along with a referance marker about a mile and a half in. About 45 minutes later, I was at USLM 2748 and was at my next turn/ridgeline which was delightful. The last rise up to Rover was pretty steep. I chose the left side where there was a hole in the fencing. It was too cold and windy up top to eat, so I waited and ate a little later near peak 5207. I also found the marker where the wood was. I missed it last time saw the wood missed the triangle marker. The highpoint for today were the HP views. They were amongst the best I've seen in AZ. I stayed pretty true to the route I drew up on RS. Pics include screen shots of route and drawn route and watch stats on top compared to RS. 1 foot difference in aeg at that point. |
