| no partners | | While I noticed someone had done some fine trail work on eroded areas of the various trails, they neglected one drainage crossing which has always been a rough dip, and of course got worse after the recent heavy rains.
So... being tired of all the times I told myself someday I'll fix this I finally got around to doing something about it. With the right tools a half-hour of effort was well spent.
Now that it's done and I'm out here, what next? I didn't bring my bike so I decided to do some miscellaneous rambling, which just now tugged at some mental cobwebs from long in the past...
Miscellaneous Ramblings was a column featured at the front of Road & Track magazine (which I subscribed to at the time) written by John Dinkel, who was the editor in the 1980's.
Anyway, as many times as I have wandered in this area I had never come across this particularly weird looking Saguaro, so naturally I had to document it with a few photos. While the rest of the rambling returned nothing more of note, at least I accomplished the task I set out to do, and will benefit from it every time I ride the trail. |
