| no partners | | Hiking and photography for me is good therapy. Needed it this week, family crisis ( averted); bad news for a lovely former coworker and friend on her cancer battle front; I broke a front tooth, can't get in to see a dentist till tomorrow so super glued it and found a straw in a drawer I could use.
So, back to hiking. Went back to a scouted spot, spent a bit more time. Poppies getting less and more weedy. It's been pretty warm tho and the lower elevation ones have had a good run. I drove up to a higher desert place I am sort of familiar with. Lots of flowers and lots of variety. I car camped on a ridgeline to great views, and then hiked a short canyon loop since I could not see the canyon bottom from the road. It was a bit on the rough side with some beautiful solutioned limestone. Good animal trails to a nice seep made it not too bad. I then explored a road to a locked gate but then with some consultation have some other ideas for this area. Hiked around the gate but stayed out of sight of the ranch house.
I may tag my poor attempt at the last blood moon at the end of this photoset as just some place to put it.
I think I want a highly polished silver crown ( might be implant time as it is broken up into the gum I think). |
