| no partners | | Down to check on the flowers; early but it is supposed to be near 100 at the end of the week for several days down here and I can't imagine the flowers will handle that well. Lots of flowers but they seemed young and were not thick. White poppies and other flowers. Lots of bees and butterflies. Some off trail to a mining area; one adit they had put a culvert in and gated it. The ice cold air coming out of it felt delicious. Most everything gated off but one entrance really messy and I will need a handline and bring my small sledge hammer to take the edge off a boulder then I should be able to lower the pack and cameras and then shinny on down. There is a downclimb option that is longer and looks slippery and no thanks.
I hiked around in the catclaw and picked up some old unused trails. Good times. |
