| no partners | | Greg, Keith and myself went to Pueblo Canyon Ruins on Jan.2 (see Gregs post same date) I won't go into too much detail, mostly I wanted to share photos of the trip. I have now completed the quadra fecta of the cherry creek ruins. (Devils chasm,Coopers Fork, Cold Springs, Pueblo Canyon) I wasn't expecting as much out of Pueblo Canyon but I was wrong. Very Impressive. Its hard to compare one to the others because each one offers something very unique. Of course the volume of ruins at Pueblo is impressive, also the cliff side that it resides on is second to none.I never read a posting that mentions this but you can see the outermost ruin from Pottery Point FYI. we got a fleeting view of a couple of white tails but that was pretty much it for wildlife. the ice at the water fall was "cool" (no coment) I crossed behind the waterfall as well as climbing down below and crossing so I don't see any reason for anyone to turn around and go back and miss the ruins because they are worried about slipping on the waterfall. It's a little more work to climb down but I found very good hand and footholds while doing it. I've been back to Devils Chasm a second time and would certainly return to Pueblo as well. A must see destination John |
