This was the last trail I needed to do to finish the area. Wasn’t sure what exactly the “Easy Access Trail” was. I think it is the trail that loops with the first overlook. I did that loop first and then proceeded to the Lower Ridgeline and then took the Ridgeline back. I hit both vistas a long the way. I had done this all before, but somehow I had forgotten about the vista that came at the end of the Ridgeline Trail….until I started hiking it and then I said “oh yeah”. I’ve done this. It kind of overlooks a resort to the south. On the way back on the Ridgeline, the trail splits as it circumnavigates a small knoll. I actually circled the knoll just to make sure I didn’t miss anything and that I did all the trails on this ridge. I didn’t want to discover afterwards that i had somehow missed the Easy Access Trail. Pretty sure I didn’t. Surprisingly quiet on the trails until the very end where I got sandwiched between a party of 14. No wildlife. Though there was a dead snake as you drove into the TH. Temps were nice again. Ok sunrise. Would have been nicer if there had been some clouds to play off of. |
