| no partners | | After hiking in Sedona - and especially after doing this one - I always ask myself - why don't I explore Sedona more often? Hummm - lets see...Traffic, Mass Tourism, Jeep/Air Tours and "User Fees".
The parking area unfortunately was increased by 1000% and is now located on the south side (on the left) of 152c and shares it with Doe Mountain TH. To access Bear Mountain though, it requires one to cross 152c. Hopefully most tourist won't make the extra effort and simply hike the closer trail - Doe Mountain. Thankfully all indications Saturday seemed to prove this.
Bear Mountain and the surrounding terrain is still paradise (for now) - Not a Resort/Golf course in sight, no Jeep Tours, No t-shirt sales (i.e. Wilson Mt. S.) and just the occasional Air Tours.
Time includes about an hour of exploring.
enjoy,
-peace |
