First time hiking in the McDowells. Loved it. Will definitely hike this trail again. The size of the saguaros was amazing.

Took the Cub Scouts to the new Peoria trail - East Wing Mountain. Located in the Sonoran Mountain Ranch. A great trail for those of us in the NW Valley. Starts out in the subdivision, but quickly goes up hill. Turn right at the fork to get to the summit. You can take an alternate trail down and meet up at the main trail.

I will definately be doing this trail more often.

A wonderfully steep hike right in Carefree. This is a big pile of shale. Hike up the Jeep road to the trailhead on the opposite side of the water tank.

This is a great hike to see the pines, some Indian ruins, and of course, the Grand Canyon.

Climbed to the top of Maricopa County. Got off trail on Amethyst - keep your eyes open!

There could have been a further view, but it rained the night before and it was very humid and hot. Yikes!

Took the Six Shooter to the top of Pinal Peak. Then went back via the Telephone Trail.

Great day. The old mining camp makes for a great place to eat lunch.

A great alternative to traveling back on the Six Shooter trail. This trail is less traveled. Beware of the sharp left - we missed it and went down the drainage scambling down the side of the mountain!
