| no partners | | Hiked this one with the Irie Lion and it was a perfect trip. It was hot, but not compared to the Superstitions. The scree chute was a lot less intimidating the second time up and I really enjoyed it. Brown's trail is a great trail, it is like walking on clouds all the way back to the trailhead. Normally I am thrilled to see the car, but I didn't want this hike to end.
By the way, I have seen posts that suggest FR 143 is passable by car. We did see one car out there, but I personally wouldn't take any car of mine through there. It is a long and treacherous road with some nasty rocks and creek beds, I would recomend El Oso Rd for cars. |
