I did the Larch tree loop and the Lake Shore Trail for a total of 4.5 miles or so. The trails are not well marked and I took a couple of wrong turns that made me walk longer. Nothing wrong with that. The park is awesome, you always have the lake as a reference so there's no way to get lost. You mostly hike on ankle-high grass with the woods on one side and the lake on the other. I enjoyed the day, lay down on the grass for a few hours after the hike.

Sorry I don't know the names of the flowers but I did see some.

Very pleasant hike. Nice to get back on the trails after a long hiatus. The description is wrong though, there's 500 feet elevation gain on the Canyon Vista Trail. There's also a section were you drop those 500ft in about a mile, so it is quite steep. I'm glad I started the loop in the other direction or I would've gone back. Midway to the hike you get to the Vista of the canyon which is pretty awesome.

The water was nice and cold after the hike. There's a section in the park were you can swim but I just put my feet in to cool down.

My first time hiking in PA. So wonderful. Completely different than hiking in AZ. I ended completely soaked because it is so humid but I thoroughly enjoyed it. :y:

Super easy hike but totally worth it right now that the falls are running :y:
It was my 1st time in Sabino Canyon. Yes, it's crowded but ideal to hike in the winter, in my opinion.

What a wonderful day I had yesterday. I will repeat what almost everyone has said before, thanks a lot for suggesting a shuttle approach to this trail. No kidding about the heart-raising climb, oh my God!
We did the trail starting from the trailhead to the Palisades visitor center (anyone knows why can't we park there by the way?). Novio spring has very little water right now but the trail is so luscious and green and full of wildflowers, the prettiest trail I've done on Mt Lemmon, for sure! :y:
The trail is fairly easy to follow, although there's a lot of overgrowth and fallen tress along the way. We got lost almost at the end and went to the summit of Mt Bigelow instead of continuing down to the visitors center. It wasn't bad but it had started raining and I got really worried that we would get caught in a thunderstorm :scared: . Fortunately it didn't happen. I feel really proud of myself for having completed this trail, it was really hard for a wimp like me that doesn't climb at all :sl:

My friends and I wanted a good hike, not too long, not too hard, this was perfect. We started from the Marshall Gulch parking lot, went all the way to the Catalina highway, which according to the trailhead adds 0.5miles to the trail, and back. It's quite a rocky trail and not much tree coverage but it was really beautiful and fun.

My first ever solo hike. I started with the Marshall Gulch trail from the Marshall Gulch parking lot. The spring has very little water but I did see a lot of wildflowers and butterflies. I got to the Marshall Gulch saddle and went on to the Wilderness of Rocks but it was too hard for me so I turned around about 300 ft or so. I then went on the Aspen #93 trail to go back to the parking lot. The Aspen trail is a bit harder than Marshall Gulch and a lot less transited, at some point I thought I had taken a wrong turn and was following a false trail because of all the overgrowth and fallen trees along the way.

It wasn't bad for my first time hiking by myself. I see that people say it should take 2 hours to do the whole loop. Well, I was not in a hurry and just taking all the beauty of the place inside takes time ;)

I had never been to the Chiricahua mountains before. So beautiful and this has been the most difficult hike I've done so far.

Wonderful short hike, it was ideal for us because we got to the Chiricahuas around mid-day so we did Echo Canyon on Saturday and the Big Loop on Sunday.

One of my first hikes, it felt a lot longer than 2.5 miles.
