I left my fleece in the car - that was my only mistake, we topped out at the saddle at 10:50 the wind was kicking and I was quite chilly. The veiw from the top was amazing - In both directions. After a short break of freezing on top of a rock over looking the needle, we headed down. I really enjoyed myself but I don't think I would have had the same experience if the trail would have been very crowded. I can understand, however, why the trail is so popular, close to town, diverse vegitation, and killer views. Not a bad way to spend the morning. |
