This was my 2nd "arch" trail. Very much worth the hike and the rather rough drive in. Very nice views from on top of the arch, and even a spot or two before the arch. Trail was easy to navigate and was rather busy. I took the trail up to the top right off, went across, stopping to take a few pictures, then found the way down on the far side. Coming down the ravine on the far side brought me up from the bottom with really cool views, and a very good sense of how tall it actually is. T-storms building above the rim as a backdrop to the red rock wilderness made for nice pictures. Found a geocache on the way back to the truck, and then on down FR152 to vultee arch trail. :)

Second trip of the day, and third arch trail. I really liked this trail. It felt more to me of a wilderness trail, with the multiple crossings of a dry Creek bed, several fallen tree jumps, and weeds whipping my shins. Saw 2 deer, 1 snake, and ZERO people. Was very nice to enjoy the surroundings without anyone else. The arch was cool even from a distance. The memorial was nice too, kinda gives some background to the arch's name. This was my goal last weekend coming from 89a on the Stirling trail that didnt pan out. Trek back to the truck through a small t-storm and some light rain, then the rough road back to town. Picked up another geocache not far from the FR152 start after the storm had passed.

Probably the toughest trail I've done so far. No joke about all up hill right from the beginning. Thunderstorm with lightning just a little too close for comfort, and some hail with the rain ended my assent just short of the top. Have to try this one again sometime. :?

Ended up doing this trip after attempting (unsuccessfully) the Stirling pass trail. (A whole other story) was glad to find out that there was an arch along the way. I hadn't been able to make it to one before this. Trail was longer than I thought it was going to be, but making it to the end had a very nice view of the rest of the canyon. The side trip up closer to the arch was pretty strenuous, but the main trail was fairly even, until closer to the end.

Did this trip before heading back into flagstaff and hiking fatmans loop. Road in was easily passable, but alot of wash boarding. Not full flow over the falls today, but enough to make the trip worth it. Was warm even before noon. Hike down was dry, but closer to falls, it was obvious it had been very wet not long ago.
