| no partners | | The original plan was to hike up to the Flatiron. Half of the group was late at our rally point, and then a few decided that siphon was enough. A small group still wanted to finish, but couldn't leave the rest sitting in Siphon for 1-2 hours.
The new plan is to return before it gets too warm so those who are still interested can bag it.
The saguaro parking lot was not full at 8am, but was by 12:30ish when we left.
We started later than we wanted to and the heat beat up some of our members while we hiked up to Siphon. By mid day it was more overcast and that seemed to help. If it was a clear day the temperature would have been too much for most of us.
This is definitely a warm spring. If you are going to hike this trail start as early as possible.
Finally, I could have sworn I saw 1-2 groups of people from the site on the trail. |
